2018 718 Boxster Spyder Performance Hybrid in Belgium
We asked the question – can a Porsche Boxster reach supercar status?
With this 718 Spyder build, a customer in Belgium approached us with that exact challenge with a recently purchased 718 Spyder. The car came to Vonnen with an engine which had been bumped up to a displacement of 4.5-liters, raising the internal combustion output from 414 horsepower stock, to about 505 horsepower.
Add to that our Shadow Drive electric motor, and total power jumps to 655 horsepower – serious supercar numbers. Looking back, that is about 50 horsepower more than the legendary V10 Carrera GT.
